Ingredients

  • Brie cheese 8–12 ounces, cut into small cubes
  • Cranberry sauce or cranberry jam
  • Puff pastry squares phyllo shells, or biscuit dough cups
  • Optional toppings: chopped nuts fresh herbs, orange zest

Equipment

  • Mini muffin tin
  • Baking sheet (for puff pastry)
  • Parchment paper
  • Sharp knife
  • Spoon or small scoop
  • Cooling rack

Method

Step 1: Preheat the Oven
  1. Heat oven to 375°F (190°C). This temperature melts brie evenly without burning the base.
Step 2: Prepare the Base
  1. If using puff pastry or biscuit dough, press pieces gently into a mini muffin tin to form shallow cups. Phyllo shells can go straight onto a baking sheet.
Step 3: Add the Brie
  1. Place one cube of brie into each cup. Avoid overfilling—brie expands as it melts.
Step 4: Top with Cranberry
  1. Spoon a small amount of cranberry sauce over the brie. Too much will spill over during baking.
Step 5: Bake
  1. Bake until the base is golden and the brie is visibly melted. Watch closely during the last few minutes.
Step 6: Finish and Serve
  1. Add optional toppings immediately after baking. Serve warm for best texture and flavor.
