Prepare the Apples
- Wash and core the apples.
- Slice them into ½-inch thick rounds or wedges, depending on your preference.
- Lightly brush each slice with olive oil to prevent sticking and promote caramelization.
Grill the Apples
- Preheat your grill pan or outdoor grill over medium heat.
- Place apple slices directly on the grill.
- Cook for 2–3 minutes per side, until grill marks appear and apples are tender but still hold their shape.
- Remove from the grill and set aside.
Prepare the Prosciutto
- While the apples are grilling, gently separate prosciutto slices.
- Optionally, briefly warm prosciutto slices in a dry skillet for 30–60 seconds to slightly crisp edges.
Assemble the Dish
- Place grilled apple slices on a serving platter.
- Drape prosciutto over or around the apples.
- Drizzle honey evenly on top of the apples and prosciutto.
- Sprinkle with black pepper and garnish with fresh thyme or rosemary.
- Optional: Add crumbled goat cheese or blue cheese for added creaminess.
Serve and Enjoy
- Serve immediately while warm. These grilled apples with prosciutto and honey pair beautifully with a crisp white wine or a sparkling beverage for a sophisticated appetizer or snack.
