Step 1: Cook the Bacon
- Cook bacon until deeply crisp. Drain thoroughly and chop finely. Set aside.
Step 2: Prepare the Pan
- Line a baking dish with parchment, leaving overhang for easy removal.
Step 3: Melt the Base
- In a saucepan over low heat, melt butter, condensed milk, and chocolate chips slowly, stirring constantly.
Step 4: Add Maple Flavor
- Stir in maple syrup, vanilla, and salt. Keep heat low to prevent scorching.
Step 5: Fold in Bacon
- Remove from heat and gently fold in most of the bacon, reserving some for topping.
Step 6: Set the Fudge
- Pour into prepared pan, smooth the top, and sprinkle with remaining bacon and optional sea salt.
Step 7: Chill Until Firm
- Refrigerate until fully set before slicing.
