Ingredients

Sliders
  • Soft slider rolls
  • Sliced ham
  • Sliced or shredded cheese
Glaze
  • Unsalted butter
  • Brown sugar or honey
  • Dijon or yellow mustard
  • Worcestershire sauce
  • Garlic powder or minced garlic
  • Black pepper
Optional Add-Ins
  • Poppy seeds or sesame seeds
  • Thinly sliced onions
  • Pickles for tang

Equipment

  • 9×13-inch baking dish
  • Serrated knife
  • Small saucepan or microwave-safe bowl
  • Pastry brush or spoon
  • Aluminum foil
  • Cutting board

Method

Step 1: Prepare the Rolls
  1. Using a serrated knife, slice the entire slab of rolls horizontally without separating them. Place the bottom half into the baking dish.
Step 2: Layer the Filling
  1. Arrange an even layer of ham over the rolls, followed by cheese. Distribute evenly so every slider gets the same balance.
Step 3: Add the Top Layer
  1. Place the top half of the rolls back on, pressing gently.
Step 4: Make the Glaze
  1. In a small saucepan or bowl, melt butter and stir in brown sugar, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, garlic, and pepper. Heat just until combined and smooth.
Step 5: Glaze Generously
  1. Pour or brush the glaze evenly over the tops of the rolls, letting it drip down the sides and into the seams.
Step 6: Bake Covered
  1. Cover loosely with foil and bake until the cheese melts and the sliders are heated through.
Step 7: Finish Uncovered
  1. Remove the foil and bake briefly until the tops are lightly golden and glossy.
Step 8: Rest and Serve
  1. Let the sliders rest for a few minutes, then cut along the seams and serve warm.
